The Fairbanks Genealogical Society meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month unless notated; September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May.
We will be meeting both in person and on Zoom for most meetings. Members will receive an email link to the Zoom meeting the day before.
Our mission is to share and enjoy the study of genealogy, provide assistance to people with ancestry in Alaska (and beyond) and to locate and preserve genealogical and historical data to make available for future generations.
We would be honored to attend your Fairbanks history related event.
DO NOT THROW AWAY your photos or documents! We will be glad to document them for current or future research.
Our November meeting will be held on November 26, 6pm, at the Alaska Mining Hall of Fame, downtown. Also, online via Zoom. Please email us for the link.
The program is to be announced. We are looking for anyone who would like to speak about a topic of interest pertaining to genealogy, or about their research. Novice speakers are encouraged!
This event is free. If you enjoy family history and genealogy, you’ll love attending our meetings.
We are happy to host history walks at the cemetery if a group would like to meet there. The walks are free but we do accept donations for the FGS.
