Fairbanks 1915

The Fairbanks Genealogical Society meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month unless notated; September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May.

We will be meeting both in person and on Zoom for most meetings. Members will receive an email link to the Zoom meeting the day before.

Our mission is to share and enjoy the study of genealogy, provide assistance to people with ancestry in Alaska (and beyond) and to locate and preserve genealogical and historical data to make available for future generations.

We would be honored to attend your Fairbanks history related event.

DO NOT THROW AWAY your photos or documents! We will be glad to document them for current or future research.

Our May meeting at the Clay Street Cemetery was once again a fun event where we learned about select people who were buried there long ago.

We are also available this summer to host more walks at the cemetery if a group would like to meet there. The walks are free but we do accept donations for the FGS.

2024/2025 Program Schedule

Programs are subject to change. If you would like to present a program, select the month and contact us via email to be added to the schedule. We are accepting programs into 2025. If you love talking about your family history or another genealogy research topic this is your chance!
