September meeting, AI search
Our next meeting will take place on Sept 23, 2025, 6pm. Our meetings typically end about 8.
The program will be “FamilySearch AI”. We will show how to do a deep search to find what you are looking for when the usual search methods aren’t complete or easy to locate. We will show examples, as well as do a live search with your questions. Please bring your laptop and specific research questions.
The website to use AI tools on Family Search is https://www.familysearch.org/en/labs/ Sign in, then select what section you want to try. We will go over a few, such as the Full Text search.
Bring your laptop to the meeting if you wish, so you can search as you learn. Everyone is also welcome to share tips as well.
The meeting will be at the Alaska Mining Hall of Fame on Cushman St. Parking is in the Sadlers parking lot. All are welcome, you do not have to be a member to attend. Refreshments are served and we always have a great time.
