Fortymile History for our October program.

Join us on October 24 for our next meeting. The program will be “Fortymile History” by Steve Lanford, BA Anthropology UAF 1997. We will learn about the location of Fortymile, the history of the people and gold rush there, natural resources, and what is happening there now….and more. If you have done Alaskan genealogical research, you may have come across Fortymile in the records. Bring your questions!

Our business meeting starts at 6pm followed by refreshments. The program begins at 7pm. We would love to see you in person! Let’s talk about genealogy, no matter your experience. If you have a show and tell, please bring the item or your story about your family or family history. If you cannot make it in person, we will be hosting the program on Zoom also. Please email us for the link at least a couple hours before the start time.

Please note the location change. We had a conflict of schedules at the Mining Hall of Fame, so we are meeting at St Paul Church, 949 Farmers Loop Rd.

We will be in the lower level Fellowship Hall. The church is located next to the Dog Musher’s Hall. The driveway has a green sign with white lettering.
