September Meeting Announcement

Welcome Fall! Beautiful leaves are falling from the trees around town. A cool air is felt in the evening. It is time for our meetings to resume.

Our September meeting will be held on Sept 24 at 6pm. We will meet at the Alaska Mining Hall of Fame, 406 Cushman St, downtown Fairbanks. You can park across the street, along a side road, or in the Sadler’s parking lot.

Our program will be informal. Program title is “Genealogy Stories, Tips, and Show & Tell”. Members can discuss genealogy stories and methods, tell a story, share an object, or utilize the screen to show photos. Program will be guided by Amy Stratman. When we discuss genealogy and our stories, we always have a great time.

Bring any notes, physical objects, or a flash drive with your photos. You can use the laptop and screen to display the photos. Think of any research questions you have for others to help with.

We would love to have you join us at the meeting. This post is emailed out to several hundred people, but typically our meetings have about 10 people. If you love to talk about your family history, the history of the Fairbanks area, or the area you are from, then you will enjoy the discussions we have.

Our meetings are FREE and you do not have to be a member to attend. Refreshments are served. See you there!

  1. Hi! I wish there was a way that I could join virtually as I am in Texas but my grandfather Avery Moore was from Fairbanks and I am trying to learn more about the area and him and his wife June.
